Written by As part of the CUBÂTI (Culture of Quality Construction: Research, Innovation and Enterprise for Sustainability) project, partner 2 Ecodomus Consortium commissioned Servizi Speciale s.r.l. to develop the CUBÂTI WEB INTEGRATION AND NETWORKING PLATFORM with the aim of promoting direct comparison between professionals, researchers and enterprises and the integration of new knowledge and best practices.
The platform includes many functions such as: the SHOWCASE where entrepreneurs, researchers, and professionals can tell their stories, showcase their products/services, start collaborations, and organize a video call with language assistance; THEMATIC GROUPS to exchange knowledge and ideas with other users; news about FAIRS AND EVENTS promoting sustainable building; personal archives where they can share useful documents; the ADVERTISEMENTS section; and the MEDIA section with video content relevant to sustainable and quality building topics.
The Productive Consortium is a cluster of enterprises that operate in a network through a system logic. It dictates its own guidelines for action in a document, called the district development pact, which is signed by the members.
The Ecodomus District, recognized by the Region of Sicily with an Assessorial Decree of 22/03/2012, was born from the desire to network the players in the sustainable building and energy saving supply chain in Sicily. It represents an important development opportunity for the revitalization of a sector in great crisis such as the construction sector, and is characterized by a strong commitment to energy saving and energy efficiency in buildings.
Currently, the District constitutes a regional platform that already works with universities and prestigious research institutions on the island, both for technology transfer and research activities, and to facilitate the provision of technical and scientific services to companies for process and product eco - innovation.
Following the publication of the Notice dated 15/10/2019, by the Department of Productive Activities, concerning the renewal or new recognition of Production Districts, Ecodomus is applying to become Ecodomus Regional District.
